Matfen Hall pictures
the wedding of Sue and Mark
Sue and Mark were married at Matfen Hall Northumberland.
Situated west of Newcastle on Tyne, Matfen Hall is out in the countryside,
surrounded by golf course (if you’re into that sort of thing)
and has a pretty impressive neo Gothic Great Hall in which to be married.
I arrive early and find the girls getting ready,
and mark being strangled by a cravat.
Children were in evidence at this wedding,
they were well behaved, and totally indulged by the best man (woman).
Above, you see high level discussions between Mark, the groom,
and the best man (woman).
The best man/woman was a brilliant character – and great fun to be around.
Above – general wedding things going on – and photographed by yours truly.
After the wedding, we step outside and notice what looks like a very stormy sky
so we nab a picture.
The wedding party, arranged neatly, the little feller in the foreground appears to have legs made from bendy rubber.
The best man/woman, also made an excellent speech.
As did Mark, of course.
We fool around in the dark, making pictures – just for the heck of it.
Ah – a picture showing the position of the stars on their wedding day . . .
Kids . . . totally camera shy . . . ( Not ).

all I did was wander past these two
and they immediately went through an acting routine in front of the camera.
The day ended with music and dancing,
and much good humoured fooling around on the dance floor.
Thank you Sue and Mark, for allowing me to be a tiny part of your lovely day.
and here’s a totally gratuitous link to Matfen Hall’s website
