Doxford Hall wedding
Katy-Anne and Liam were married in the Summer
that makes this a Summer wedding !!.
One little bridesmaid, her face filled with happiness, receives a gift from the bride
(The bride is the girl in tartan Pyjamas, the bridesmaid is girl on the right)
Things are getting serious. mum puts a hat on, the registrars come and have a chat before the wedding . . .
Downstairs at Doxford Hall, guests await.
Below you see the room, decked out for the wedding.
The bride arrives, preceded by bridesmaids, looking extremely happy !
Before we know it – lots of things happen
vows are made, lots of words are spoken, rings exchanged . . . you know the stuff !
and then we all hop outside into the glorious sunshine
to simply chat, mingle, enjoy the day !
A big smile, a cheer and a wave from a hundred guests.
Lots of good humour at this wedding . . .
can you see the sundial on the right ?
can you see that it has sprouted the arms of a small child ?
wierd, eh !
This place is a gift for pictures – the classical facade
with its Doric columns are a really useful compositional device
see . . . Doric columns . . . I’m edji micated
how do you spell edji cated ?
It’s a pleasure to wander about in the glorious summer sunlight.
All too soon – the day whizzes past,
there’s a wedding breakfast, there are speeches . . .
then an evening function.
With a band.
Apparently – when you’re a young boy – what you do with a band is
sit on the floor and stare at it.
A young feller with an unbearably cute wink
is found propping up the bar
Ah – this is what you do with a band . . . dance 🙂
Thank you Liam and Katy-Anne,
it was an absolute pleasure to be involved with your wedding.
